I have worked for Berkshire Hathaway Home Services since 2005. I specialize in the real estate markets of Carpinteria, Montecito, Santa Barbara, and Goleta. With my experience and dedicated focus to each client, I have attracted buyers, sellers, contractors, and investors from all over the country. Santa Barbara is a competitive real estate community with thousands of Realtors to choose from and my clients have chosen to work with me again and again, not only for my knowledge of the local real estate market, but also for my skillful way of guiding clients through each real estate transaction.

​I am married to Brian and we have two children, Lyla and Jack. I am a second generation Realtor and have followed in the footsteps of my father, Dave Sorensen, who built and sold houses for over 40 years. Originally born in Alberta, Canada, I prefer the warmer climate in Santa Barbara and have lived here since 1998. I graduated with a Bachelor Degree in Communication from the University of California Santa Barbara in 2002 and went on to earn my Masters in Education, as well as my teaching credential. After teaching 3rd grade, which I enjoyed immensely, I decided to become a licensed agent. After my first transaction, in which I helped an elderly man sell his lifelong home to a young family, I was hooked and have been working as a full-time Realtor ever since.

When I’m not selling real estate, I can be found volunteering with my church, Oceanhills, at various events in town and serving meals to the homeless. I am a sustaining member of the Junior League of Santa Barbara and have been passionate about giving back to my community by working with non-profits such as Meals on Wheels, Transition House, Casa Esperanza Homeless Center, Noah’s Anchorage, and World Vision. I have a heart for “friends without homes” and I am devoted to the holistic wellness of those in my community who need to be housed.

Understanding the local real estate market is key to helping buyers and sellers make important decisions. When working with Sellers, Erin shows detailed reports of what is going on in any particular neighborhood, as well as the great market in general. She continues to update her Sellers with competing home sales or changes in price, so that they are equipped to make decisions about their own home sale. With Buyers, Erin makes sure that her clients know all of the homes that are available within their parameters as soon as they come on the market, and sometimes even before. She is equipped with the latest technology to help Buyers find homes for sale around them through real estate apps on their phones, email updates, and updated market statistics, and is readily available when needed.
